After 30 years as a high school educator, Gary retired from the West Ottawa Public School District in 2002 where he coached, taught instrumental music, and was the Assistant Principal and Principal for his last 11 years. From there, he spent the next five years as a Field Coordinator in the College of Education at GVSU. He joined Williams and Company as a Registered Representative in 2003 and is currently the Western Michigan Regional Manager. He enjoys meeting new people, remaining in contact with school employees and assisting them with their retirement planning. Gary has been married for 38 years to his wife Denise, who works as part of the office staff at Williams and Company. After his discharge from the Navy, Mark attended college in Greenville, PA where he graduated with dual degrees in accounting in 1979. For the next 17 years, Mark was employed by multiple colleges in their financial departments, working with not only personnel and payroll functions, but with investments and endowment funds. Throughout his career, Mark has worked closely with educators, encouraging them to establish and contribute to their retirement funds and providing guidance in the placement of said funds. Vicki & Al have been married for over 30 years and have 2 daughters. Al spent 20 years moving around in the Electric Utility Field and retired from DC Cook Nuclear plant in 2000 to join Vicki in her tax and investment planning practice as the Information Technology Director. Licensed with the State of Michigan in Life & Health & Securities, Al works with Vicki in the Williams & Company Financial Services branch office in Stevensville. He works with corporate and public school employees to plan and transition into retirement life. Al joined W&C in May of 2008 after working for MEA Financial Services since 2002.
Vicki spent the last 22 years in her quest to prepare her clients for current needs and future goals. Fred has been an active investment and insurance professional since 1987, beginning as an independent property and casualty agent for 13 years. Jack and his wife Karen, both retired public school teachers, reside in the Marion area. They have four daughters, three sons-in-laws and four wonderful grandchildren and enjoy spending time with their family at their cabin in the UP.
Jack’s educational experience included time as a teacher, elementary principal, assistant superintendent and superintendent. With this new step in his career, he’s committed to educating school employees about the Michigan Public School Employees Retirement System (MPSERS) and working to help these employees meet their retirement goals and needs.
